Located on the Brazos River, the scenic Lake Granbury is one of the lakes created by damming the Brazos River and one the city’s most popular outdoor destinations. The lake covers approximately 8,310 acres with a maximum depth of 75 feet and more than 100 miles of shoreline available for a variety of recreational activities including fishing and boating.

Visitors can also spend a relaxing day at Lake Granbury City Beach Park, which features activities such as swimming, picnicking, and more. The beach park has a spray park, kayak and stands up paddleboard rentals, picnic pavilions, volleyball courts, and a bike concessionaire. City Beach Park also offers access to the boardwalk and is a short walk away from Granbury’s historic downtown square and its terrific selection of shops and restaurants.
