Weatherford

The seat of Parker County, picturesque Weatherford is a historic town that takes pride in its rich heritage and western traditions. Its motto, “Growing with Tradition,” describes it to a T.

The city has numerous antique shops, boutiques, restaurants, a farmer’s market, tree-lined neighborhoods, and beautifully landscaped parks. Weatherford is also just 20 minutes or so west of Fort Worth, making the employment, entertainment, retail, and cultural opportunities of the DFW Metroplex just a short drive away.

Weatherford may be a small town but it continues to prosper and its population has grown by almost half from 2000 to 2016. And despite being one of Texas’ fastest-growing cities, it remains a quiet and peaceful area. Its most prominent landmark is the beautifully restored county courthouse and its biggest annual event is the Parker County Peach Festival.
